Mourning in the Light of Narrations

Is there any narration regarding holding a mourning ceremony for the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s)?

There are many narrations in this regard; We will try to throw light on famous three narrations narrated by Ahl al-Bayt (as) regarding holding mourning ceremonies for the Ahl al-Bayt (as) and on their miseries:

  1. Imam Sadiq (as) said: “May God have mercy on our Shiites. May God bless the believers, and May God be with them in the adversity, sorrow and grief. I swear by Allah, our Shiites are the believers, they sympathize with our calamities and carry this legacy ” [Bihar-al-Anwar, vol. 43, p. 222.];
  2. Imam Reza (A.S) Said: Whoever remembers our sufferings and weeps over the injustices inflicted on us, will be with us on the Day of Judgment and will raise near to our position and rank, and whoever expresses our sufferings and cry and make others cry; On the day when all eyes are weeping, their eyes will never cry and On the day when hearts die, his heart will not die.”

  3. Imam Sadiq (as) said to Fadheel: “Do you hold mourning ceremonies and talk about the Ahl al-Bayt and the atrocities inflicted on them?” Fadhil replied: Yes. The Imam said: I love such gatherings, whoever revives our command will be blessed by God.” “O!Fadhil: Whoever remembers us, is remembered by us, Whosoever weeps on us, God will forgive his sins, even if it is more than the vastness of the sea.”
